Senior Tax Associate
Jonathan Sussman joined Spiegel as a Senior Tax Associate in January 2023. Jonathan began his career working for a tax and accounting firm in south Florida. His position with the firm allowed him to develop a capacity for communicating accounting and compliance matters to clients regarding their accounting records, along with their financial rights and obligations. This involved preparing financial statements and taxes for individuals and businesses of various types, including S corporations, C corporations, and partnerships with diverse organizational structures.
After receiving his CPA certification, Jonathan found an interest in real estate investing and began researching the topic, focusing on the tax implications surrounding the industry. As he expanded his knowledge of taxation issues facing investors, he acquired an interest in the different investment vehicles and methods. He became particularly interested in the private equity and lending side of investing, which led him to serve this growing industry.
Jonathan received his B.S. in Accounting from Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Meyers, FL. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys playing guitar, reading books, and weight lifting.
